The tranquillity of the countryside
is abruptly broken as a Heinkel 111 makes a noisy crash-landing in Southern
England, narrowly missing a tree. A Spitfire from 66 Squadron marks
the victory. It is September 1940, with the Battle of Britain approaching
its climax.
