The Fukker DR-I no. 477/17 of Manfred Von Richthofen is shown in combat with a Sopwith Camel of 73rd Squadron flown by Lieutenant Ronald George Hinings Adams, 7th April 1918, near Villers-Bretowneux. This was the Red Barons 78th victory out of 80 in total. (Adams, survived the fight but was taken prisoner. He died on the 28 March 1979 at the age of Eighty Three).
Manfred Von Richthofen was killed on the 21st April 1918 by Captain AR Brown while he pursued the Sopwith Camel of Lt. W. R. May.
