Beaufighters of 47, 227, and 603 Squadrons, RAF, along with 4 B-25 Mitchells of the 340th BG attack the German Merchant ship 'Lisa' and her escorting vessels on their way to Heraklion, Crete. The "Lisa" was escorted by 2 torpedo boats and an umbrella of fighters. One Mitchell and three Beaufighters were shot down in this action; however the Lisa was torpedoed and sank after a large explosion on her starboard bow.
