It was a rare occasion to see an SR-71 parked outside of its hanger. The SR 71 was an impressive sight to see in the hanger but it was especially impressive when viewed outside. The unique texture, paint and shape highlighted by a mid afternoon sun made for a spectacular view. Sunburst was created by Larry to show a side of the SR 71 that has become a rare sight. Usually, the SR 71 is photographed in flight or while taxiing during ground operations. Rarely is the aircraft photographed at close range, stationary with nothing hooked up to it and without fuel seeping through the top and bottom of the inboard wings as was the case prior to a launch. Sunburst was created by Larry from a rare photo taken of the SR 71 while parked outside of its hanger.

Each print includes a certificate of authenticity, and each is signed by Larry Brown with the print number.
